Autumn's natural make up look goes back to matte
Anyone who has had to battle through the grey morning drizzle knows that summer is well and truly over – so now it's time to ditch the shimmer and shine and go back to matte for autumn's natural makeup look.
Everything from natural skin care to eyes, lips, hair and nails will be flat and muted this season, according to the Daily Mirror's Madeline Crisp.
Ms Crisp advised that the hottest matte style features in the coming month with be skin, lips and eyes, while the braver among us can add hair and nails to the list of gloss-free looks.
For an easy way into the matte trend, Ms Crisp advised: "You can't do better than a matte violet shadow, but be sure to choose a quality brand that will be rich in pigment so the colour stays true and blends well."
Natural makeup palettes are an ideal way to stay glamorous this autumn, according to commentator Kristin Booker writing for Hollywood Life.
