Awareness is crucial in rise of natural beauty
Increasing numbers of people are using natural makeup products because they are more aware of the harm which chemical-based cosmetics can do to themselves and the environment, according to one expert.
Sarah Henning, staff writer for the Lawrence Journal-World, said that shoppers are just as conscious of what they put on their skin as what they consume because they know about the problems that are associated with unnatural products.
April Sweany, a local commentator and natural beauty aficionado, supported this view and told the news provider: "I don't really like to put chemicals on my skin, and I do the same with food too."
The expert added that ethical and organic products are not necessarily more expensive than their chemical-based counterparts.
Consuming the correct foods is as important as using the right natural makeup products, according to the Daily Mail, which said that nutrients can create a glowing skin.
