Bold eyes predicted as hot winter trend
This autumn ladies may want to get adventurous with their natural cosmetics, as experimental and exaggerative eye makeup is set to be a hot trend.
According to Inside Ireland writer Lauryn Mann, high-impact looks are back in fashion.
Women were encouraged to mix "lengthy lashes" with metallic shadows for "alluring, show-stopping cat eyes".
Ms Mann suggested investing in a volume-boosting mascara so the dramatic eyelash affect is easy to acquire.
She described the product as a "key staple in any girl's makeup bag this season".
Styles to emulate include the bold, statement eye as embodied by the 60's model Twiggy, who has more recently appeared in adverts for Marks and Spencer.
Liquid eyeliner was recommended for those keen to recreate the Bambi-eye trend created by the fashion icon.
Investing in metallic shadows may prove worthwhile, as the look is set to remain a favourite throughout spring/summer 2012, according to makeup artist Jules Cardozo-Marsh.
