Bold smoky eyes said to be a key 2012 trend

Bold smoky eyes said to be a key 2012 trend Ladies may be inspired to dig out their organic eye liner in the new year as bold, black eyes are set to be a trend once more, according to one expert.

Freelance beauty editor of Kissandmakeup.tv Zara Stone Rabinowicz claimed this season's "feline stripes" will be replaced by "heavy kohl and smoky eyes".

Rather than fine liquid eyeliner, "chubby pencils" will be the latest must-have, it was suggested.

"Unusually, this trend will work through winter and summer, with adaptations to the climate noted in the nails and lips, and the eyes remaining strong," Ms Rabinowicz commented.

Other popular looks will include metallic and magnetised nail varnishes, with elaborate nail art set to continue to grow, the specialist stated.

However, Ms Rabinowicz claimed more and more women are likely to opt for home manicures rather than paying for salon treatments.

While eyes are set to be the main focus for some, Space NK's founder Nicky Kinnaird recently claimed in a Daily Telegraph interview that natural-looking skin achieved without the help of Botox and cosmetic enhancements will be key for many ladies in 2012.
