Brides 'should opt for natural beauty on their big day'
Brides-to-be should retain their natural beauty on the big day, rather than piling on the makeup, an expert has advised.
Alice du Parcq, fashion and beauty editor of Brides magazine, said that ladies should match their look with the venue and the dress, but should avoid overdoing it.
"Keep it simple, go and get advice from a makeup counter," the expert added.
Ladies heading overseas for their big day also need to make sure they take into account the weather, as Ms du Parcq said places like Italy will be very hot and lead to a "sweaty look".
"You are going to feel flustered so keep it simple," the expert stated.
Brides staying closer to home should get advice on how to apply foundation to retain their natural beauty and which tones go with their skin colour.
Ladies may be opting for a more traditional makeup look, after Wedding magazine revealed that old-fashioned wedding dresses are very popular this year.
