Brits make natural cosmetics their desert island luxury
Natural cosmetics are something that the British public can't live without, according to a new survey.
YouGov reported that when a panel of 1,000 people were asked what luxury items they would take to a desert island, beauty and hygiene products were the most popular choice.
Items such as natural sunblock, organic moisturiser and natural shampoo were picked by 17 per cent of the respondents – beating food, drink and gadgets such as iPods.
The survey was inspired by BBC Radio 4's popular Desert Island Discs show, which has asked famous guests what their luxury choice – as well as song and book selections – they would spirit away with them if trapped in a secluded land.
People that want to make sure they have a flawless complexion, just in case they are shipwrecked without their natural makeup, should ensure that they have a diet rich in essential fats, according to advice from skin therapist Louise Thomas-Minns.
