Celebrities are fuelling false lash trend

Celebrities are fuelling false lash trend Fans of natural skin care are considering false eyelashes because of the slew of celebrity endorsements which have been arranged over the last year, according to one expert.

Jenni Middleton, editor of Professional Beauty magazine, said Lady GaGa, Agyness Deyn and Cheryl Cole have all been spotted wearing the accessories which make up a false eyelash market worth around £10 million.

"Celebrity endorsement has really helped move this trend on in the past few months, especially as we get up to party season," she stated.

Girls Aloud have recently worn the accessories and the expert said that the trend first emerged in 2004.

Having messy eye makeup is en vogue, according to the London Evening Standard, which said that the rebellion against airbrushed beauty has begun and a more natural style is winning the makeup battle.

It reported that celebrities like Lily Allen and Anne Hathaway have spearheaded the trend by sporting messy makeup.
