Celebrities jump on metallic natural eye shadow trend
Disco fever is about to sweep the nation – again!
Last week, Stylist reported that metallic natural eye shadow would be a big hit for spring, after the Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2011 show featured pewter and gold-dressed peepers and lips slicked with vinyl-like, berry-hued natural lip colour.
As proof that the 1970s-inspired style is about to sweep the nation, Style Bistro reported that a number of celebrities have been waving the flag for glitz and glamour.
X Factor winner Alexandra Burke dressed to impress for her gig at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow on January 21st, choosing bold gunmetal-silver eye colour and lashings of natural mascara to boldly complement her white and silver-studded bodysuit.
Meanwhile, megastar and new American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez plumped for paler silver shades, set with classically-applied liquid natural eye liner, as she attended last weekend's Golden Globes event.
Adding an alternative twist on the style, fashionista Nicole Richie has been showcasing her own natural eye shadow look, opting for plums and lavenders to match her 70s get-up at a recent magazine celebration party.
