Choosing tones 'important when applying natural makeup'
Fans of natural makeup need to make sure they use the correct shade when choosing products they are placing on their face, according to one expert.
Saks beauty guru Kirsty Jewson said that people with pale skin need to use different colours than those with darker complexions, but she believes this is only a guideline and can change.
"I would suggest you always try a colour on your skin but generally coral colours suit pale skins and pink tones suit darker skin tones. This is not set in stone but helps you to choose," she stated.
The beauty expert added that braver women may try pastel colours all over, but she recommended being cautious when applying any new colours and testing them out in small areas first.
Stella McCartney's recent show in Paris featured pink and peach makeup, according to Vogue's Jessica Hogan, who said the hues broke up an otherwise largely black, grey and nude collection.
