Colour-infused natural makeup shades: blue eye shadow
Blue eye shadow has always been a shade that very few natural makeup fans dabble with, but it may be heading back into fashion, thanks to Leighton Meester.
The Hollywood Life blog has reported on the singer-turned Gossip Girl, who recently attended a red carpet event sporting the shade and explained that the star's makeup was a definite hit.
Her eyelid was lined with blue eye shadow, with lashings of mascara, peachy pink cheeks and lips and the overall result was a chic, yet understated look - something can be difficult to achieve with such a bold shade.
"You might be a little afraid of blue eye shadow but really, don't be! It's come a long way since the frosted nightmare of the 70s and 80s and it can really make both brown and blue eyes really pop," the writer asserted.
However blue hues are not for everyone, so for those still airing on the side of caution, an equally bright natural makeup shade that is also set to be a hit for A/W 2010 is tangerine orange and is versatile enough to be worn on the eyes, lips and cheeks.
