Ditch the deadweight and stick to natural makeup essentials
Women should think about slimming down their natural makeup bags, as many of the products that they carry around are not necessary, commentators have said.
Beauty blogger That's Yummy Mummy urged ladies to ditch the deadweight in their cosmetics collection and just to keep a few must-have items in their handbags.
The writer explained: "Whilst on the move you should just pack what you need for a retouch or rejuvenation."
Similarly, Eva Keogan, writing at Nixdminx, said that lip gloss, natural mascara, natural foundation and an easy-to-use cream blusher are the essentials that people should not be without.
She added: "An eye shadow palette and makeup brushes to apply them with [are also key items]. Simple."
Recently, Debenhams revealed that British women carry round a staggering £256 of cosmetics in their handbags every day.
Neil Young, senior makeup artist for Mac, told Stylist readers that poor purchase advice is often the reason that ladies are lumped with unsuitable items.
