Expert beauty tips for achieving the perfect smoky eye
Ladies looking for tips on how to get the most out of the organic cosmetics may be interested in advice from one of the fashion industries top professionals.
International makeup artist at Yves Saint Laurent Lloyd Simmonds revealed his top beauty secrets in an interview with Allure magazine.
Those keen to achieve the perfect smoky eye were advised to first apply their shadow and follow this with foundation, as this makes it easier to clean up the excess powder that usually falls onto the cheek.
Another tip was to use a "slightly greasy or soft pencil" which can be smudged around the lash line and will help eyeshadow stay in place.
"The shadow will naturally adhere more strongly to the pencil, and fading outwards, the smoky effect is already done," Mr Simmonds stated.
Having made his name as a makeup artist through the world of ballet and theatre, Mr Simmonds now works with top beauty and fashion publications including Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.
