How to recreate Cheryl Cole's Brits natural makeup look
Last week's Brit Awards saw the usual array of stylish celebrities, but Cheryl Cole stood out on the red carpet with her glamorous dress and sultry natural makeup look.
She didn't take any gongs home that night, but she did win a thumbs-up from stylists across the land – and makeup artist Daniel Sander has explained how to recreate Cheryl's dramatic smoky natural eye shadow effect.
He explained: "You will need a face primer, … full coverage liquid or compact foundation and concealer, a loose powder, a face bronzer, a smoky grey and matte black eyeshadow, black eyeliner pencil, black mascara, nude lip pencil, beige lipstick and beige lip gloss."
Start by using the primer across your neck and face and evening out tone with the foundation and natural concealer.
For the statement eyes, sweep dark grey powder across the upper lids and under the eyes, winging it out at the corners.
Use black shadow at the edge to create the "cat-eye effect" and then define with liner and mascara.
Cheryl's Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding made a splash this weekend by swapping her usual platinum locks for a brunette natural hair colour.
