Jessica Simpson praises natural beauty
US singer and actress Jessica Simpson has spoken about the need for women to embrace their natural beauty and avoid unnatural cosmetic surgery and products.
Speaking to America's Glamour magazine, the star categorically stated that she does not agree with the modern obsession with female body shape.
She said: "No matter how much money you spend to make yourself beautiful - with all the products, the diets, the plastic surgery - in the end women need to fall in love with themselves and realise they're beautifully and wonderfully made."
The singer added that all around the world women are going to extreme lengths to feel beautiful but she said natural beauty should not be overlooked.
Jessica Simpson was recently criticised after she put weight on at the start of the year and her comments calling for a greater emphasis on natural beauty could be a response to that.
