Keeping lips moist will help with natural makeup application
Exfoliating lips and ensuring they are not dry will help products, like natural lipstick, look better when they are applied and make them last longer, according to one expert.
Kirsty Jewson, Saks beauty guru, said that women need to follow some simple steps to get the perfect pout and claimed that hydration is the first step in the process.
"Exfoliate your lips to ensure they are not dry, keep them hydrated. Apply a primer to the lips to help give the lipstick something to cling to," she stated.
Ms Jewson added that women should follow the exfoliation by applying concealer around the lip line, as this will help to prevent bleeding.
To finish off the look, women should then add a little gloss and reapply it as necessary.
Tasmeta Mistry, makeup artist for Benefit, recently said that starting with lip liner and moving outwards is an easy way to create an interesting pout.
