Ladies adopt natural beauty look
Ladies are adopting a more natural beauty look as the credit crunch bites, but are still spending on natural skin care.
Sadie-Jean Sloss, a professional make-up artist, told the Scotsman that women are buying alternative products but continuing to buy natural skin care products.
The expert added that ladies are choosing a "very groomed but natural look", adding: "In the way that a lot of women are looking at 'investment' pieces when it comes to fashion in this downturn, I think that they are also very keen to invest in their skin."
Jane Cunningham, of beauty blog Beautyandthedirt.co.uk, told the newspaper that nude shades and natural make-up is hot this seasons, advising ladies to invest in good skin care.
According to the newspaper, to achieve the look women should ensure their eyebrows are perfectly plucked and their skin is in tip-top condition, meaning they may be able to forgo foundation or powder.
Last week, Sharon Dorram, celebrity hairstylist, told MSNBC.com that women are not cutting back on their natural hair care products.
