Less can be more in a makeup bag
Fans of natural skin care products can slim down their makeup bag by including the bare essentials such as mascara, concealer and foundation, according to one leading fashion institution.
The London Makeup Academy's director Nicole Arter made the comments and gave advice on how people can carry fewer products and still have all they need to touch up their face on the go.
She said: "Mascara, concealer, foundation, then a lipstick that can double up as a blusher and lip product. Lip products are a big one, because they can go on the cheeks and some can even go on the eyes."
Ms Arter said that a lot of products can be used for two purposes, like eyebrow pencils also being used as eyeliner.
Consumer research company Mintel recently released research which shows that women are more likely to buy lipstick in the recession in order to improve their mood.
