Lilacs and mauves are top trend for eye shadow
Fans of natural skin care who want to stay on trend when applying their eye shadow should be using lilacs, mauves and purples, according to one expert, who said they will be fashionable in the season to come.
Kathy Phillips, beauty director of Conde Nast Asia, writing for the Observer, said that the colours can be applied in a variety of ways.
"It is quite an easy colour to wear, especially in contrast with British pale skin," she explained.
While giving advice to makeup fans, she added that the 80s is another trend which is proving very popular this season, with designers like Marc Jacobs embracing the decade that style forgot.
Red lips are another look which has been predicted to be big this autumn after actresses like Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller sported crimson pouts.
Christina Aguilera recently said that she loves wearing red lipstick to create a glamorous Hollywood look.
