Liquid foundation described as best for anti-ageing
Ladies may want to consider purchasing a liquid-style natural foundation rather than one that provides a matte finish, as this can be ageing.
This is according to makeup artist for Dior Jamie Coombes, who explained in an interview with the Daily Record how to avoid making skin appear older.
It was suggested using too much moisturiser in a bid to combat a dry face is one of the main mistakes women make, with this leading to foundation slipping.
"Our skin will only absorb what it needs - so blot the skin before applying foundation," Mr Coombes stated.
Next, ladies were advised to steer clear of using excessive amounts of powder and bronzer as this can create an old-fashioned look.
Instead, Mr Coombes recommended using a highlighter to "catch the high points of the face then apply a warm pink blush".
In a recent interview with Beauty Mouth, Mr Coombes explained how he has been in the industry for more than 15 years and has worked with clients such as actress Michelle Rodriquez.
