Marcia Cross: Natural makeup-free and far from Desperate
Not many 48-year-olds would forego their natural foundation, lippy and mascara, even just to pop out for a few hours – but Marcia Cross would.
The Desperate Housewives actress looked youthful and fresh-faced as she popped to a nail salon in Santa Monica this weekend, the Daily Mail reported.
Sporting her workout gear, Cross casually strolled along the street on Saturday, with her porcelain complexion showing that a natural skin care routine can take years off your age.
Manhattan-based Dr Jennifer Walden told the newspaper that Cross's secret was to avoid the sun's harmful rays, whatever the weather.
She explained: "It is apparent that skin care is extremely important to the television star. Anytime she is photographed outdoors she always covers her skin in long sleeves and large hats ... a good skin care regimen also help[s] her achieve the 'flawless' look."
The no-makeup trend is spreading rapidly through Hollywood, as earlier this week the Daily Mail reported that Megan Fox stepped out with no cosmetic help as she collected her stepson from karate class.
