Metallics and bright shades hot looks for 2012
Ladies keen to use their natural cosmetics to create the latest fashion looks may be interested to hear about key spring/summer 2012 trends.
According to makeup artist Jules Cardozo-Marsh, metallics and "fun, flirty colours" have featured strongly on catwalks recently.
She described how "hot pink lips" were a favourite of Jasper Conran and Nicole Farhi, while PPQ and Margaret Howell opted for orange-toned red lipstick for an 80s look.
Elsewhere, eyeshadows with a metallic finish were recommended as "a fresh way to wear bold colours and brighten eyes".
When it comes to highlighting cheekbones, Ms Cardozo-Marsh noted that "gunmetal bronze" shades provide an "ethereal finish to dewy complexions".
To complete the looks, the expert suggested copying runway styles and using black mascara and matching eyeliner to accentuate eyes, while brows should be thick and defined.
Ms Cardozo-Marsh's comments came as London Fashion Week saw next year's trends showcased in the capital between September 16th and 20th.
