Natural beauty is being encouraged this autumn
Fans of natural skin care should opt for warm earthy tones when picking their makeup, according to one expert who said that this autumn natural beauty will be at the core of trends.
Gilda Howard told the Southern Star that colours such as brown, orange and bronze are very much on trend and suggested changing from a sun-kissed summer style into a more toned down autumn look.
She said: "Monochromatic makeup is the cool trend for autumn; try eye shadows and lip colours in shades close to your own skin tone as this enhances your natural beauty."
The beauty writer added that extravagant lashes are another major new trend which will be seen in October and November.
In other natural skin care news, red lips are another feature which has been predicted to be big this autumn after actresses like Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller sported flamboyant pouts recently.
