Natural bronzer helps to achieve 1970s-inspired glow
Makeup, as with fashion, has its seasonal trends – and this year, even tanning is becoming a style issue.
However, with sun safety (hopefully) at the front of everyone's mind, it's down to natural bronzer and fake tan products to achieve the perfect summer glow.
James Read, international tanning expert, told the Daily Mail that this year's craze is deep, dark and luscious colour a la 1970s disco divas.
"This summer is about the deep seventies retro tan - darker, deeper tans are fashionable again," he explained. "But if that is not for you, then you could opt for the lighter version, which is called the complexion tan."
However, whether you go all-over mahogany or opt for the more relaxed version, Mr Read said that faces should be lighter than the rest of the body, which is why having the appropriate products becomes all-important.
Earlier this week, Geraldine Howard from Aromatherapy Associates suggested that layering different types of moisturisers will get your legs ready for summer.
