Natural eye shadow: Silver is the new black
As autumn looms, many fashionistas will be aware that now is the time to make the change in your natural makeup, and according to one expert, silver is the 'in' shade to pick while you work out your autumn colours.
According to Stylist, while black might be a tad too heavy for the end of summer, silver is the happy medium and if the catwalk is anything to go by, grey is going to be big in A/W 2010.
If you're tired of the smoky eye look (which can't be many of you) then mix it up and copy the likes of Jason Wu and Matthew Williamson's models – go for silver on the lid and leave the rest of the eye bare – no liner or mascara.
Christian Dior's national make-up artist, Jamie Coombes, offered some natural makeup tips to the news provider: "Apply shadow with a moist brush as this creates a brilliant intensity and gives a fantastic finish."
Other shades set to be big in A/W 2010 are those of yesteryear, according to the beauty source, - think Catherine Zeta-Jones as Velma Kelly in Chicago.
