Natural foundation 'can help achieve perfect makeup'
Fans of natural makeup who want to get a flawless face need to ensure they take care with the application of their foundation, according to one expert, who said it is essential.
Daniel Thompson, creative director and co-founder of Daniel Thompson Beauty in Toronto, told the Montreal Gazette that foundation creates a great canvas but added that choosing one that matches a person's skin tone can be tricky.
"It catches light and it smoothes the appearance of the texture of the skin so that when makeup goes on - eyeshadow, makeup, blush - everything looks harmonised. And it evens out skin tone," he stated.
Makeup artist Diane Kostick added that women can test out a foundation on the crease between their thumb and index finger.
Amy Boyd, a professional makeup artist and graduate of School of Make-Up, recently said that the gothic look is now in vogue and women could opt for darker eyes to complete the style.
