Natural makeup: Big eyebrows are a beauty cornerstone
If you're looking to make a dramatic statement with your natural makeup style, it may be time to embrace what you were born with and emphasise your eyebrows.
While plucking, waxing and – more recently – threading have long been a staple of any good natural skin care routine, Stylist reported that we may not have to be as zealous with our hair removal in future.
Catwalk shows and celebrities have been displaying a fuller-than-average brow for the last season, which is gently defined with restrained plucking and sharpened by adding natural eye liner for depth of colour.
Joanna McGarry commented on the trend: "I'm still overawed by the sight of a good pair of brows, they have the power to transform a person's face."
Makeup artist Lisa Valencia added that full brows can give a softening appearance, by balancing more angular features.
One celebrity who has always opted for the more natural eyebrow is Liv Tyler, who stunned everyone with her natural skin care routine when she went makeup-free for Givenchy's new fragrance ad campaign.
