Natural makeup experts spills the beans on NY tricks
Women have been told to take some of their natural makeup inspiration from New York Fashion Week, in which a number of trends and fashion tips have emerged.
Sophia Panych, writing for the Allure beauty blog, has explained that, while certain catwalk styles would attract attention on the high street for all the wrong reasons, there were some gorgeous looks that organic cosmetics fans should take note of.
At Peter Som the models boasted heavy liner which created instant glamour, and makeup artist Tom Pecheux explained that getting a picture-perfect line means no lotions or creams beforehand.
"You should also always prep with a little foundation or concealer - I prefer concealer because it's a bit thicker and acts as a better base," he told the news provider.
However, at Philip Lam the focus was on the lips, and makeup artist Lisa Butler explained that one way to get extra depth with a nude natural lipstick is to use a eyebrow pencil round the edges, which keeps them from looking flat.
Both these catwalk trends fit perfectly with autumn's romantic theme – of lived-in lashes and peachy hues on the face.
