Natural makeup: Lilac is 'the' colour for 2010
Fans of natural makeup should opt for lilac and violet colours when applying their products, according to one magazine, which said there is a wide range of ways women can apply the shade.
Vogue's Jessica Hogan stated that violet has dominatedon the catwalks recently with everyone from Dior to Proenza Schouler embracing the lilac-based hues and decorating their models in the colour.
"A purple haze descended onto the catwalks for spring/summer, proving to be the most popular of the pastels ...what's more, lilac is also the hottest colour for nails this season," she stated.
Ms Hogan added that Pat McGrath used the colour while working on Versace models and created a subtle look which did not detract from the models' natural beauty.
Fans of organic skin care should ensure they use natural looking makeup, according to Jemma Kidd, who told OK magazine that all the big name labels used the style in their catwalk shows.
