Natural makeup: Purple is the colour for smoky eyes
Fans of natural skin care and makeup who are looking for a different look this year could opt to copy one of the Gossip Girl stars who has stood out because of her smoky eyes, according to one publication.
Now magazine reported on Leighton Meester's sexy eyes which she has created by using strong colours like purple.
"Leighton has swept different shades of purple, the new smoky colour for 2010, around her eyes to create a statement look. Then, for extra razzle dazzle, she's added gold eyeliner to her upper lash line," it stated.
Her look is finished off with red lipstick, which the magazine said adds an extra twist to her dramatic new style.
Having messy eye makeup is en vogue, according to the London Evening Standard, which said that the rebellion against airbrushed beauty has begun and a more natural style is winning the makeup battle.
