Natural makeup: Red lips can be reinvented for bold statement
Fans of natural makeup who want to put some sparkle back into the red-lip look, should take some tips from actresses who appeared at this year's BAFTA awards last night, according to one magazine.
ELLE UK stated that stars, such as Claire Danes and Audrey Tatou reinvented the style by using darker reds and combining them with well thought-out dresses.
"Claire Danes, whose normal beauty routine is nude lips and a soft smoky eye, knew that this look wouldn't cut it paired with her Burberry, champagne-hued dress," it reported.
The magazine added that Danes instead opted to use a dark, bold lipstick, while Tatou went for a coral-tinted pout to sit alongside her pink dress.
Red lips became a big trend for winter this year with Hollywood stars such as Sienna Miller and Scarlett Johansson sporting the striking look while making public appearances.
