Natural makeup should be about 'maximum impact'

Natural makeup should be about 'maximum impact' Posted by Shannon Davies

When it comes to natural makeup for this season, rosy cheeks have been a driving force, and according to one expert, the feverish look is part of the must-have "high-impact" look.

Stylist's Annabel Meggeson has reported that while makeup is set to be glamorous and Bardot-inspired, the key is to make your creation look as though it hasn't required too much effort – "artfully played down" is the term.

One of the main staples of this style is rosy cheeks, which, coupled with pink eyes and lips, is the perfect way of creating high impact and has the added benefit of reviving a tired complexion.

Jamie Coombes, national makeup artist for Dior, told the news provider that by bringing the blush in towards the nose and down towards the jaw this will create a somewhat "feverish effect", which is reminiscent of the warmth of sitting by a fire.

Last week Ms Meggeson explained that blush is the best way of battling against the signs of ageing, as it has the effect of reigniting youthful rosy cheeks.ADNFCR-2389-ID-800065295-ADNFCR
