Natural makeup turns towards the dark ages
As the weather takes a turn for the worse and we all embrace the joys of A/W 2010, it's time to go moody with your natural makeup – from lips to your toes.
Kate Shapland from the Daily Telegraph has reported on the latest trend of dark nails, which are dominated by a "glut" of deep, muddy taupes and mauves, which incidentally are set to be a big hit on the eyes and lips too.
Teamed with pale makeup, the style is reminiscent of the huge vampire-esque trend that took the nation by storm in summer – dark eyes, nails, lipstick and a deathly-pale face.
"The darks make broader fingers look slimmer, especially if you wear them as a single stripe down the centre of your nail," Ms Shapland explained, adding that the beauty of this trend is that it suits all skin tones.
If you're not a fan of the darker shades, then another trend which is taking the catwalks by storm is luminous natural makeup – think neon oranges or the wild yellows and blue hues of Alexandre Herchcovitch.
