Natural mascara advice offered for a heat wave

Natural mascara advice offered for a heat wave Should Britain ever experience a heat wave, we lovely ladies will be ready, as we've been offered some useful advice on how to make our natural mascara look its best when the mercury starts to rise.

Celebrity makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff told Bellasugar.com that waterproof mascara is a good product to use during July and August and when it's hot, as normal varieties can rub and flake off.

In addition, Ms Sheriff said that if you often put on several layers of mascara and don't like waterproof ones, then just try "sealing" your regular product with a single coat of waterproof mascara.

The beauty guru also offered further makeup advice for summer.

She said: "During the summer, stay away from cream cheek and eye colours. Otherwise, you're going to look like you have wet, oily eyelids."

However, she said that this was not the case if you can get your hands on a cream eye colour that says that it's waterproof and gives a powder finish.

In addition, makeup artists Jemma Kidd wrote for the Daily Mail that when it comes to sun protection this summer, those who spend most of their time indoors will be fine with a moisturiser of at least SPF 15.
