Natural skin care: Finding suitable makeup is hard for UK women
Fans of natural skin care in the UK are struggling to discover makeup that suits them and find it equally difficult to apply it properly, according to one expert.
Beauty journalist Karen Kay said that makeup buyers can focus too much on trying to find the correct shade of foundation rather than aiming to get the right formula for their skin type.
She said: "I think the majority of British women do struggle with having the finesse of applying foundation and other cosmetics perfectly ... first of all determine what skin type you are so you know exactly what formula you should be using."
The beauty writer added that speaking to experts about what products to use is important.
Bobbi Brown recently asked women what their biggest problem makeup product was and foundation came out as the main offender, with more than 40 per cent of users saying they struggled with the product.
