Natural skin care: The colour purple is on-trend
Fans of organic skin care who want to choose the perfect colour this winter season should go for purple, according to one magazine which said the shade is ideal for all women.
Stylist magazine stated that the colour has become a leading trend in recent months and also symbolises wealth and wisdom.
"Whether you're fair, olive-skinned, dark, brunette, blonde or redhead, there's one makeup shade that suits all: purple," it said.
The magazine added that the colour is feminine and super-romantic, and advised readers to be inspired by the paisley violets and lavenders that Barbara Hulanicki used in her dresses during the 60s and 70s.
It advised women to go for a subtle shade during the day at work, using a selection of brushes to create an understated look.
Another big natural makeup trend this winter season is the use of red lipstick, which has been seen on celebrities including Sienna Miller, Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce Knowles.
