Navy advised for smoky-eyed natural makeup look
Ladies looking to increase the detail of their natural makeup have been advised to go with navy, or an overlay of purple, for the smoky-eyed look.
"This is an amazingly kindly shade and makes common old blue eyes take on a fascinating hint of green," explained Hilary Mantel, writing for the Guardian.
She also said that those wanting to apply red lipstick should look to golden peach and desert apricot shades to mellow the mouth, while lion colours will add warmth to both eyes and cheeks.
However, "this season a clear, defined mouth doesn't have to be red", Ms Mantel claimed.
She asserted that coral is easy to pull off and is ideal to wear with moth-wing neutrals or the nude/blush shades seen in chiffon and fluid silks.
Petros Petrohilos, who was responsible for makeup at the Sass & Bide show during London Fashion Week, recently told MyFashionLife.com that natural looking skin will be complemented by a classic 60s look this coming spring season.
