Organic cosmetics becoming popular
Many commentators have applauded the benefits of organic cosmetics and the latest one to do so is an expert in beauty products.
Merle Brown, editor of the 5pm Health and Beauty blog, said that these products are now popular and the consumption of such items is steadily increasing.
Indeed, a YouGov survey this year revealed that the British public think that they can't live without natural cosmetics.
When 1,000 people were asked to name the luxury products they would take to a desert island, the most popular choices were hygiene and beauty products.
Gadgets, food and drink were topped by moisturiser, shampoo and sunblock, which 17 per cent of people chose.
Those looking for moisturiser may want to choose one with antioxidants and vitamin C, according to Ms Brown.
"There's a lot of stuff now that's coming with antioxidants and vitamin C is another big ingredient this year, a lot of new skincare products have included [it] - vitamin C is good for the skin," she said.
