Preparation is crucial for natural makeup
A natural makeup expert, who was behind some of the looks at the Oscars, has revealed his tips on how to create stunning looks for a big occasion.
Bruce Grayson, makeup department head for the Academy Awards, told Jacquelineluxe.com that preparation is the most important part of achieving head-turning makeup.
"It's important to prep your skin a few days before a big event. In addition to drinking lots of water and eating a healthy diet, the key to glowing skin is following a strict skin care regimen," he said.
Another tip from the expert was to use a foundation which gives you a good base to build a look on and he added that smoky eyes are a big trend this year.
Fashion makeup artist Pat McGrath recently told the Irish Independent that using a brush is the best way to achieve a flawless finish when applying foundation and added that using fingers can produce results that are not as professional.
