Red eyeshadow needs careful application
Fans of natural makeup considering using red eyeshadow need to ensure that they do not overdo it, according to one magazine, which said avoiding certain beauty potholes will help with the look.
Stylist magazine reported that reds work well with hues which have a bronze or golden edge to them, but said women need to make sure they apply the makeup in the right way.
"Just like the girls strutting down the catwalk at Diane von Furstenberg, wearing red eyeshadow is all about getting the right shade. The first rule is to avoid any crease," it stated.
It recommended that women with fair skin opt for reds with peach undertones, while those with darker skin should use claret-based hues.
Red lips are another look which has been predicted to be big this autumn, after actresses like Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller sported the flamboyant pouts.
