Red lips 'can impress the boss'
Ladies looking to make an impression at their work's Christmas party may want to invest in natural lipstick in a red shade.
According to themakeoverqueen.co.uk's Nicky Hambleton-Jones, sporting a bold pout is a great way to "impress the boss".
She claimed that red lipstick "can be incredibly powerful and speak volumes", as it transforms a person's image and attitude.
Ms Hambleton-Jones recommended applying a matte lipstick, which channels the retro 40s trend and helps make teeth appear whiter.
To complete the look, ladies were encouraged to apply a coat of mascara to their lashes and define their eyebrows.
Meanwhile, those who are keen to attract the attention of a fellow employee were advised to wear their hair up so the nape of their neck is revealed.
Ms Hambleton-Jones claimed showing of this area of skin can be "very sensuous" and a "messy bun" with hair tumbling down is a great way to achieve this.
The tips come after M&S Money recently revealed the average shoppers spend £560 celebrating Christmas.
