Reignite yesteryear with natural makeup
If you're looking for some glamour when it comes to autumn, then the answer may be held in your natural makeup, which is set to be filled with shades from yesteryear.
Stylist has reported that nostalgia is the theme for A/W 2010, and it screams feminine finesse and understated, expensive old-school glamour (think Catherine Zeta-Jones as Velma Kelly in Chicago).
Charlotte Tilbury, a makeup artist for Donna Karan, Moschino and Sonia Rykiel, explained that the 20s should be a driving force behind our natural makeup choices at the moment.
"It's all about makeup that is super-blended and without lines. On eyes, sockets and brows are shaded and shaped with taupes, greys, minks, browns and khakis that are luscious but soft," she asserted.
However, Ms Tilbury went on to say that adopting these natural eye shadow colours won't instantly transform you into a glamourpuss, as the hair is also important – adopt the Mad Men style with ballerina chignons and beehives.
