Sampling shades described as best way to find perfect lipstick
Ladies looking for tips on how to find the perfect natural lipstick for their complexion may want to take note of one expert's advice.
Alice Hart-Davis, beauty journalist and creator of goodthingsbeauty.com, described how discovering the best shade is "largely a matter of trial and error".
She recommended those with warm skin tones to opt for "rosy browns", while peach and pink colours are better suited to individuals with a "cool skin tone".
Women who are not confident enough to wear a bright red lip were encouraged to consider a sheer lipstick as it will give "just a hint of colour".
The shade a person picks often reflects their personality, according to Ms Hart-Davies, who commented that a "thick, creamy" product "packs much of a punch".
Nicky Hambleton-Jones, the makeover queen at themakeoverqueen.co.uk, recently claimed that a bold red lipstick can be very powerful as it will help transform an individual's image and attitude.
