Start 2011 by clearing out old natural makeup
Ladies should adopt the mantra of out with the old and in with the new when it comes to natural makeup in 2011, one expert has said.
Linda Wells, editor in chief of Allure magazine, speaking to the Associated Press, said there were two compelling reasons for women to dispose of the old natural lipsticks and eyeshadows lurking at the back of their cupboard.
"If something doesn't look good today, yesterday or last year, then it's never going to look good. Give it up," Ms Wells explained.
She added beauty-conscious ladies should take note of expiration dates, as even with natural makeup bacteria can develop in products which have been open for a number of months.
The expert explained many women keep their natural makeup in the bathroom, where the heat and humidity means it deteriorates more quickly.
"Oxygen is what starts the clock ticking," Ms Wells explained.
Luckily, there are a host of new trends for women to try in 2011. Becomegorgeous.com reported the 1940's pin up style a la Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera is firmly in fashion
