When you're preparing for an important job interview or high profile meeting, it's important to remember the significance of first impressions – everything, including your natural makeup, should shine with professionalism.
Natural makeup can be your best friend and your worst enemy in high pressure situations, but if you follow these golden rules, you'll be good to go.
Makeup artist Zethina told ABC Action News that, since eye contact is imperative to positive communication, you should work to emphasise your peepers.
However, she added that sometimes 'less is more' when applying products like natural eye liner and natural mascara.
Zethina advised: "It's best to not over-apply mascara, you need just enough to enhance your lashes but not so much that you look like you need a scrub down."
She added that natural eye shadow with glitter is an absolute no-no, and that your colour palette should enhance the tone of your skin and hair, not your clothes.
Yesterday, Denise Baptiste told One India that women should perfect the smoky-eyed technique, as it is a classic look which can be adapted to suit any style.
