Vampire chic 'is a big look'
Smoky eyes and dark makeup is at the centre of a look which emerged during London Fashion Week and looks set to add some bite to the regime of natural beauty fans.
Vampire chic has been identified by Liz Hoggard of the London Evening Standard as the big look for autumn after celebrities like Emma Watson, Alexa Chung, Agyness Deyn and Victoria Beckham sported the look at the fashion event.
The style pays homage to film noir and also allows fans of natural skin care to reclaim a more erotic and macabre style, according to the beauty writer.
She said: "Hair is layered and dark, with sweeping bangs. The eyes take centre stage, framed by heavy, well-defined brows. The face is left matte; lips nude."
The Metro recently spoke to nail guru Jin Soon Choi, who said that more risqué and eye-catching colours will be transported from the catwalks to women's handbags this autumn season.
