Celebrities Oscars' natural skincare treatments revealed
Over time most ladies develop a fool-proof natural skin care routine to prepare them for a big event, but celebrities were going one step further in the run up to this year's Oscars.
Among the beauty treatments in demand at salons across the Hollywood hills was the caviar facial, which costs a rather steep $295 (£181) for a 90 minute session.
The treatment, which includes caviar and antioxidants, was said to offer instant results, leaving the celebrities red carpet ready.
Anti-gravity massages to take away the years and total body hydra-dermabrasion resurfacing were also said to be popular.
Speaking to AFP, Derek Hofmann of The Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, said: "I cannot reveal any names of guests, celebrity or otherwise, having treatments done.
"But I can tell you that very many of the nominees for all of the award ceremonies are having these treatments performed in order to look their best for the celebrations."
Ladies looking for a more low key everyday natural skin care regime, however, might was to take the advice of Sally Penford, education manager for the International Dermal Institute, who said the most important product in any cosmetics bag is sunscreen.
