Cold wind can cause dry skin problems
People considering investing in natural skin care products should ensure that they keep their complexion well moisturised, especially after being exposed to harsh, cold winds during winter, according to one newspaper.
The Vancouver Sun reported that dry skin and chapped lips are often caused by very cold winds and it advised people to protect their pouts with products containing sun protection factors.
"Chapped lips due to wind or sun exposure are one of the most common winter skin ailments. Resist the urge to lick your lips. Instead, keep an SPF-30 balm handy and reapply frequently," it stated.
The newspaper added that people who go on skiing breaks are at risk of extra exposure to the sun because the UV rays reflect off of snow and onto skin.
Stylist magazine's Emma Smith recently said that women can find that the winter months make creating interesting looks a real challenge, which could mean people invest in new natural skin care products.
