Exfoliating is important for the perfect fake tan
Fans of natural skin care who want to attain a golden complexion this winter without jetting off to foreign climes should make sure they exfoliate before they apply fake tan products, according to one expert.
Moiya Saint, a celebrity tanner, said that, as well as exfoliating before applying fake tan products, fans of organic skin care need to make sure they are using different types of tanning cosmetics on their face and bodies.
She said: "Always use an exfoliator, one because it's actually spheric beads so when it goes on to the body it rolls over the body and it takes off what needs to come off."
The expert added that it is vital that the skin is exfoliated during the three days after the fake tan is applied because this will make sure any excess or uneven product is removed.
Celebrity Rachel Stevens has recently told the Sun that she felt better after using less fake tan and embracing a natural beauty look.
