Expert: Check ingredients on natural skin care products
Ladies should make sure that they check the ingredients on natural skin care products, in the same way as they would check food items, an expert has recommended.
Claire Lilley, senior policy adviser for Which?, said that people should not use price as an indicator of how good a product is.
"Quite often what you are paying for is expensive and glamorous packaging and actually the product inside has fundamentally got the same active ingredients in it," she added.
The expert said that natural skin care fans need to be more savvy about what they put on their face.
Another tip from the expert is to battle through the jargon used on packaging, which she said can often seem like it is in another language. "We are not all familiar with the language of chemicals so it does make it harder," she added.
Natural beauty has been given a boost this week, after designers including Julian Macdonald and Matthew Williamson showcased the look on their catwalk models.
