Expert claims sunscreen just as important in winter
Ladies may be more inclined to use natural sunscreen throughout the winter months after hearing how rays can still damage skin on over-cast days.
Skin therapist and founder of Uandyourskin.co.uk Louise Thomas-Minns explained how it is vital women takes steps to keep their faces protected against harsh sunlight.
"It's still important to protect your skin with an SPF (sun protection factor) everyday despite the lack of sun, since UV (ultraviolet) rays are present all year round," she stated.
Products containing ingredients that reflect harmful rays were recommended by Ms Thomas-Minns, as these will literally screen the face.
Merle Brown, editor of the 5pm Health and Beauty blog, recently commented that wearing moisturiser containing SPF is the best way to fight the signs of ageing, rather than attempting to conceal the damage when it has already been done.
Such products cannot only help avoid sunburn, but also protect against wrinkles in the future, she claimed.
